Asiatek product development: from brief to validated formulation

Services · Product Development

From brief.To formulation.Science-led.

The brief that sounds impossible is usually the one worth taking seriously.

Product development at Asiatek begins with understanding what a product needs to do: in terms of performance, user experience, application surface, regulatory market and packaging format, not with a pre-existing formula adapted to fit.

Our in-house R&D team develops new formulations from first principles against defined targets, runs iterative optimisation, conducts stability and shelf-life testing, and validates material compatibility before moving to pilot production.

What you receive at the end is not just a formula. It is a complete technical dossier: manufacturing specification, quality parameters, SDS documentation and a production-ready process that can be handed directly to our production team.

Partners get visibility at each stage: prototype samples and evaluation data before committing to full-scale manufacturing. You evaluate performance before you commit to production. That is how it should work.

7 Stages

From brief to production

Lab-Tested

Before scale-up

Process

How a brief becomes a product.

Discovery Brief

We capture your performance targets, target substrate, price positioning and any regulatory or market constraints, before any chemistry begins.

Formula Development

Our R&D team builds candidate formulations from first principles, not from a generic base formula with adjusted fragrance and colour.

Prototype Samples

You receive physical samples for hands-on evaluation against your brief, with our team's notes on expected performance trade-offs.

Feedback & Optimisation

Formulations are refined based on your evaluation, adjusting viscosity, cure time, finish or active concentration as needed.

Pilot Manufacturing

A small pilot batch validates that the lab-stage formula performs identically at production scale on our actual filling and packing equipment.

Scale-Up Validation

Stability, shelf-life and material-compatibility testing are completed at production scale before commercial sign-off.

Commercial Production

The validated formula moves into standard production, with the same batch testing and Certificate of Analysis as any other Asiatek product.

Why Asiatek R&D

First principles. Not formula adaptation.

BASF-Grade

We source active ingredients from globally recognised chemistry companies including BASF. The performance ceiling is set by the raw material before our chemists begin.

Stability First

Every formulation undergoes stability testing, shelf-life trials and material compatibility checks at prototype stage, not after scale-up. Problems are solved in the lab, not in the market.

150+ Formulations

Our existing library of production-ready formulations means we understand what works across 12 product categories, and can build new formulations from a base of real manufacturing knowledge.

Deliverables

The complete output, not just a formula.

Manufacturing Specification

The complete process document your production floor works from: no ambiguity, no re-interpretation.

SDS Documentation

Safety Data Sheets prepared to the classification and labelling requirements of your target market.

Stability Test Results

Shelf-life and stability data gathered at prototype stage, before any scale-up commitment.

Material Compatibility Data

Validated performance against your actual substrate, packaging and application surface.

Prototype Samples

Physical samples at each development stage, with our team's evaluation notes attached.

Pilot Batch Records

Full documentation from the pilot run that confirms production-scale performance.

Scale-Up Validation Report

Evidence that the formula holds at commercial volume, not just at lab scale.

Certificate of Analysis

Issued on commercial batches, the same standard applied to every Asiatek production run.

Development timelines vary by formulation complexity.

Share your brief and we’ll give you a realistic stage-by-stage timeline before you commit. Most standard automotive care formulations complete Stage 1–3 within 4–6 weeks.
